Following Martin Kaymer’s victory in the US Open Championship, the golfing spotlight returns to the Irish Open at Fota Island Resort in Cork.

He may officially be out of action with a niggling injury but there will be a Tiger at Fota Island this June and beyond, albeit in a different sense to the golfing personality that we are all familiar with.

The European Tour has chosen the Mercy Hospital Foundation in Cork as the Official Charity to the 2014 Irish Open.

Fota Island Resort will be welcoming Irish Major winners Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke who will be taking part in the Irish Open at our championship Cork Golf Club.
