Stepping onto The Clubhouse terrace at Fota Island Resort feels like you’re discovering a hidden gem beneath the Irish sun. Overlooking the stunning 18th green, we’ve unveiled our brand‑new outdoor pizza oven. A contemporary twist on alfresco dining, where handcrafted pizzas meet a refreshing drink in the open air.

Our Pizza Creations

Each pizza is crafted by hand, the dough freshly prepared in-house, ensuring that every bite carries just a hint of warmth, smoke, and that unmistakable wood-fired taste. Some of the key creations include,

Margherita
Tomato sugo, fresh basil, Fior di Latte mozzarella, seeds and creamy avocado come together in a delightfully fresh, perfectly balanced creation.

Pizza Capriccioso
A classic yet indulgent ensemble of tomato sugo, Irish ham, mushrooms, black olives, basil, pecorino and Fior di Latte mozzarella, rich, comforting, familiar.

Local Goat’s Cheese
A local take on artisan fare: tangy goat’s cheese, pine nuts, spicy honey, nduja, basil, pecorino and Fior di Latte mozzarella which are all woven together over our dough for a flavourful, textural symphony.

Smokey Pepperoni
A fan favourite: tomato sugo meets smoky pepperoni, pecorino, basil and Fior di Latte mozzarella, delivering satisfying, savoury indulgence.

Vegan Margherita
A nod to tradition with a twist: Neapolitan‑style pizza topped with vegan halloumi, fresh tomato, basil and olive oil. A vegan delight that doesn’t compromise on flavour.

Corkonian
Priding ourselves on local heritage: Ardsallagh goat’s cheese, smoked Gubbeen, Macroom buffalo mozzarella, tomato sugo, local spiced honey and fresh rocket combine in a nod to the rich flavours of Cork.

The Experience

Picture an evening glass of wine or a cold beer in hand, the scent of wood smoke lingering as the sun dips low. Golfers finishing their round drift down to the terrace, hotel guests wander over, locals stop by and everyone becomes part of the shared, jovial atmosphere around the pizza oven.

We believe the magic is in the details: dough made fresh each morning, toppings sourced locally, and a setting that feels as much part of the evening as the food itself. The outdoor oven creates a setting where friends gather, golfers relax, and momentary escapes are crafted, slice by slice.
