Continuing to grow bigger and better year-on-year, the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival takes place over the Irish October bank holiday weekend, 26th – 29th October 2012 and is one of Ireland’s major arts and culture events that offers plenty of Jazz music, street entertainment, workshops, lectures and much more for all ages
Attracting visitors from all over the world, many of whom stay and enjoy an extended holiday in Ireland to take in the sights of the surrounding beauty of Cork, the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is renowned as one of the best Jazz festivals in Europe that has attracted some of the biggest names from the world of jazz, including Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock to name just a few.
The festivities give locals and tourists to the area the opportunity to enjoy the many fantastic hotels in Cork and Cork restaurants. This year the prestigious line up for the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival will play at a variety of venues, including the Cork Opera House, Triskel Christchurch, Everyman Theatre, Triskel Auditorium, Crane Lane and The Pavillion, plus many more dotted throughout the city.
