CORK WEEK – It only happens every other year and that is probably a good thing, because it takes Crosshaven that long to recover! Cork Week 2010 takes place from July 10th to 16th and is taking shape with a huge variety of boats and competitors making plans for the regatta.
Headline acts for the event, which takes place at the Royal Cork Yacht Club, Crosshaven, include The Coronas, Fred, The Chapters, Jerry Fish & the Mudbug Club and The Frank and Walters. The Cork Week Entertainment Programme begins on July 12th and promises to be the best ever, with music from the early evening from the likes of Devil’s Bit and Drumbru, to the latenight DJs.
Visitors to Cork Week will be able to enjoy the festival atmosphere onshore, and for people who want to make their visit to Crosshaven even more memorable, there are fantastic BBQ packages available. Cork Simon Community will host a Fundraising Lunch on July 15th and many, many more events are planned onshore as competitors battle it out offshore on the waters of what is acknowledged as one of the greatest natural harbours in the world. www.corkweek.ie
