Hello all and Welcome to Fota Island Resort’s Blog, I’m John O’Connell and I am responsible for maintaining and updating the blog along with other social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter, please feel free to add us on here as well, here are the links if your interested:
My aim for the blog is to keep you up to date on what we have going on in the resort as well as provide a source of useful information on various areas that we have an expertise in.

Sinead Marron and Nicola Kinnerk from Fota Island Spa will be providing me with useful tips, treatments and timelines for areas to watch out for throughout the year and I will be in constant contact with the team in the Spa getting helpful advice and other relevant information which you may find practical.
In relation to golfing at Fota Islands Championship golf course, Kevin Morris, Fota Island Resorts resident PGA Pro who has overseen the two Irish Opens held at Fota Island Golf Club in 2001 and 2002 will be providing all the necessary information to keep you at the top of your game. Other members of the golfing team include Brian Kelleher and Ian Prendergast who will be on hand to help out with any questions you might have, so just put them to me and I’ll hopefully be able to help.
Executive Chef Neil Foster will be contributing to the blog by providing excellent seasonal tips on what to use in your kitchen and when is best to use them, as well as recipes and tips to help make life around the kitchen a lot easier. Again as is the theme of the blog if you have any questions that you want to ask our team of chefs here at Fota Island Resort fire away and I’ll be glad to find out for you.
