On Wednesday 3rd October with a night of traditional singing with Con Ó Drisceoil, Nell Ní Chróinín, and Caoimhín Ó Fearghail, Seán Ó Sé & Máire Ní Chéilleachair is the much anticipated start of the Cork Folk Festival 2012.

With international Folk Artists performing in various venues throughout Cork, the festival continues from Thursday 4th – Sunday 7th October and Cork is expecting an influx of visitors and folk music fans to the city to enjoy the singing, music and dancing.

With artists such as Paul Brady, Guidewires, Declan O’Rourke, KAN and many more playing in a mixture of free and paid concerts in venues around Cork City that include as the Pavilion, the Triskel Christchurch, Crane Lane, An Spailpin Fanach, CIT Cork School of Music, Cork City Library and not forgetting the outside special Céilí Mór with festival favourites The Kilfenora Céilí Band on Grand Parade, the Cork Folk Festival looks set to be yet another successful event this year.
